Who we are

Woolwich Removals provides home, business, storage and European removals across Woolwich and SE London. For the purposes of UK data-protection law, we are the data controller for the information you share with us through this site.

What we collect

When you complete the quote form we collect the details you enter: your name, phone number and email address, the pickup and drop-off addresses, an optional moving date, and any notes you add. If you email or call us, we hold the details you choose to share in that message or conversation.

Why we collect it, and our lawful basis

• To prepare and send you a quote and to arrange and carry out your move — this is to take steps at your request and to perform our agreement with you.
• To reply to enquiries and provide the service you’ve asked for.
• To keep records we’re required to keep, and to protect the site from spam and abuse — our legitimate interests and legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the business — for example, the systems we use to receive and manage quote enquiries, our email provider, and, for an international move, the parties needed to handle transport and customs. Each acts under an appropriate agreement and only for the purpose of your move.

The tools this site uses

The quote form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which helps us tell real enquiries from automated ones; its use is subject to Google’s privacy policy and terms. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand how the site is used. Your quote details are sent securely to the system we use to manage enquiries so we can respond to you.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and move records for as long as we need them to provide the service, meet our legal and accounting obligations, and deal with any questions that arise afterwards. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it where we’re not required to keep it. You can also object to certain uses. To make a request, email hello@woolwichremovals.co.uk. You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.
